
Ian Phillip
Ian is a Partner and Head of Department at Myer Wolff specialising in Criminal Law. He is a regular Advocate in the Crown and Magistrates' Courts and has been a Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor since 1995.
Ian has particular expertise in representing Clients with learning disabilities and mental health problems.
Ian has been a member of SAHCA (Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates) since 1999 and he became the first practicing Defence Solicitor in Hull to achieve Rights of Audience in the Crown Court.
This allows Ian to represent Clients at all types of hearings before the Crown Court and the Court of Appeal.
Ian has successfully argued for Clients' sentences to be reduced before the Court of Appeal.
Ian regularly undertakes Agency work in the Hull Courts for other firms outside the area.
